The console is constructed with a much larger design than the original PlayStation 5, but this is due to the incorporation of a [dual virtual reality (VR) headset dock](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nothing-vr-headset-concept). This is accented by an additional dock below for [handheld controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sony-game-controller) to allow for intuitive storage of peripherals between gameplays. The PlayStation 5 Pro concept focuses on a cordless experience to give players more freedom to move within their space. The digital-first console would provide access to a range of metaverse games for a virtually unlimited entertainment experience. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.2/10 - Popularity: 81% | Activity: 56% | Freshness: 19% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Games](https://www.trendhunter.com/games) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Dual VR Headset Dock:** The PlayStation 5 Pro concept features a dual virtual reality (VR) headset dock, allowing for an immersive gaming experience with two headsets simultaneously. - **Intuitive Peripheral Storage:** The console incorporates a dock below for handheld controllers, providing convenient and organized storage between gameplays. - **Cordless Gaming Experience:** The PlayStation 5 Pro concept focuses on a cordless experience, enabling players to move freely within their gaming environment without the cords restricting their movement. ### Who This Affects Most - **Video Game Console:** The PlayStation 5 Pro concept explores innovative possibilities for the next generation of gaming consoles by incorporating dual VR headset support and intuitive peripheral storage. - **Virtual Reality (VR):** The concept highlights the growing trend in the VR industry by featuring a dual VR headset dock, catering to the increasing demand for immersive gaming experiences. - **Entertainment Technology:** The PlayStation 5 Pro concept represents a disruptive innovation opportunity by offering a cordless gaming experience and access to a range of metaverse games, pushing the boundaries of entertainment technology. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Pro-Grade Gaming Consoles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sony-playstation-5-pro-concept.md) - [Contoured Gaming Console Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/playstation-5-console-concept.md) - [Powerful Portable Gaming Consoles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/playstation-5-handheld-gaming-console.md) - [Industrial Next-Gen Console Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/playstation-6-console-concept.md) - [Adaptive VR Controller Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/unreal-control-gaming-controller.md) - [AI-Driven Video Game Consoles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-playstation-5-pro.md) - [Angular Next-Gen Gaming Consoles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/playstation-6-concept.md) - [Virtual Reality Gaming Consoles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/playstation-vr-2.md) - [Minimalist Next-Gen Gaming Consoles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sony-playstation-6-concept.md)
