The gaming console concept highlights a triangular aesthetic that plays with geometric shapes and boasts a boxy design that's anything but square. The console almost balances the aesthetics of both the [Sony](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/playstation-6-console-concept)-made hardware and those of [Microsoft](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/xbox-series-a) to give us a glimpse of a far more minimalist system. The PlayStation 5 concept design is accented by a blue azure colored LED system that will cast light onto the area around it for a dramatic effect. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.1/10 - Popularity: 72% | Activity: 12% | Freshness: 9% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Games](https://www.trendhunter.com/games) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Geometric Gaming Console Designs:** Opportunity for companies to explore new shapes and aesthetics for gaming consoles. - **Minimalist Gaming Consoles:** Opportunity for companies to design gaming consoles with a more simplified and sleek look. - **LED Lighting in Gaming Consoles:** Opportunity for companies to incorporate lighting as a design element in gaming consoles. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Gaming Hardware:** Opportunity for gaming hardware companies to differentiate themselves with unique designs. - **Consumer Electronics:** Opportunity for consumer electronics companies to expand into gaming console market with new and innovative designs. - **Interior Design:** Opportunity for interior design companies to incorporate unique gaming console designs that can also serve as a decor piece. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Angular Next-Gen Gaming Consoles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/playstation-6-concept.md) - [Industrial Next-Gen Console Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/playstation-6-console-concept.md) - [Minimalist Next-Gen Gaming Consoles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sony-playstation-6-concept.md) - [Pro-Grade Gaming Consoles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sony-playstation-5-pro-concept.md) - [Powerful Portable Gaming Consoles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/playstation-5-handheld-gaming-console.md) - [VR-Focused Console Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/playstation-5-pro-concept.md) - [Industrial Translucent Gaming Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sony-game-controller.md) - [3D Display Gaming Consoles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/uplight-game-console.md) - [Retro-Style Gaming Consoles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/playstation-5-30th-anniversary-limited-edition.md)
