Made using [classic diorama figurines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mini-sculptures), she puts them in unique everyday situations while cleverly using ordinary objects such as compact mirrors, mixing bowls and even coin purses. She somehow manages to see beyond their practical purpose in order to envision these playful miniature sculptures. About her playful miniature sculptures, the artist shares, "The idea of creating these miniature works came from dream states and how we are able to play with our own identity, to play with different roles we take on in our dream state. So the miniature works serve as a metaphor for intuitive thoughts." ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.5/10 - Popularity: 63% | Activity: 63% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Playful Miniature Sculptures:** Artists creating unique and imaginative miniature sculptures using everyday objects. - **Diorama Art:** Growing interest in creating and collecting hand-crafted dioramas. - **Art as Metaphor:** Artists using metaphors to express concepts and ideas. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Art and Design:** Opportunities for artists and designers to experiment with new mediums and techniques. - **Collectibles:** Growing market for hand-crafted and unique collectibles. - **Education and Entertainment:** Miniature sculptures used in educational and entertainment settings for teaching and storytelling. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Intersecting Dimensional Art Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/diorama.md) - [Collaborative Sculptural Art Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/neojomon-biomorphic-fantme.md) - [Miniature Baking Collectibles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mini-food.md) - [Digital Archetype Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/christian-rex-van-minnen-1.md) - [Vibrantly Colorful Dynamic Artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kayla-rumpp.md) - [Human Embraced-Inspired Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wallmounted-sculpture.md) - [Miniaturized Doll Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mini-barbieland.md) - [Community-Centric Sculptural Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/playful-sculptures.md) - [Otherworldly Wooden Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wooden-sculptures-1.md)
