# Multi-Screen Console Devices The 'LUMI Split-box' Lets Users to Play a Console on Multiple Screens By Michael Hemsworth | Published 2017-03-21 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/play-a-console References: [geeky-gadgets](http://www.geeky-gadgets.com/one-console-on-multiple-screens-21-03-2017/) & [kickstarter](https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/482610515/lumi-split-box-gaming-device-one-game-console-mult) Getting interrupted during gaming usually means having to postpone your session, but the 'LUMI Split-box' device is intended to let users play a console on multiple screens and much more. The 'LUMI Split-box' works by simply enabling users to split the functionality of their console to operate on more than one television. This will come in handy for family homes where a single television is used by multiple members of the family for entertainment. The 'LUMI Split-box' also lets users play a console by converting the split-screen experience for multiplayer games to be played on different television sets. This makes it possible to play a fairer game without having to worry that opponents will be simply looking at your screen section to gain a competitive advantage. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.2/10 - Popularity: 32% | Activity: 55% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Games](https://www.trendhunter.com/games) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Multi-screen Gaming:** The 'LUMI Split-box' demonstrates a trend towards multi-screen gaming experiences that enhance the user experience. - **Split-screen Conversion:** The 'LUMI Split-box' introduces a trend towards split-screen conversion technology for multiplayer gaming on multiple screens. - **Family-friendly Entertainment:** The 'LUMI Split-box' caters to a trend towards family-friendly entertainment solutions that allow for multiple users to engage in activities together. ### Where This Applies - **Gaming:** The 'LUMI Split-box' presents innovative opportunities for the gaming industry to create more immersive and collaborative gaming experiences. - **Home Entertainment:** The 'LUMI Split-box' provides disruptive innovation opportunities for the home entertainment industry to target family-oriented markets with user-friendly technology. - **Consumer Electronics:** The 'LUMI Split-box' facilitates disruptive innovation opportunities for consumer electronic companies to develop new products that enhance multi-screen usage and collaboration. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [3D Display Gaming Consoles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/uplight-game-console.md) - [Rotating Display Gaming Consoles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/small-universe-x-sugar-cubes.md) - [Shapeshifting Gamer Consoles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nintendo-game-boy-famicon.md) - [Embedded Monitor Gaming Computers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gaming-box-design-concept.md) - [Supplemental Gaming Console Displays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nintendo-switch-2-display-concept.md) - [Projector-Equipped Gaming Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/concept-gaming-accessory.md) - [Digitized Board Game Consoles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/board-game-consoles.md) - [Dual-Screen Handheld Gaming Consoles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ayaneo-flip-1s-ds.md) - [Modular Quad-Display Laptop Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/quanvizo-extendpro.md)
