Duncan Shotton's 'Plate-Plate' dishes have small illustrations of a plate, fork and knife on them, which makes it seem like any food placed onto the plates is gigantic. Hopefully this visual trickery will be enough to fool your eyes when they are bigger than your stomach.

The [adorable dinnerware sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tableware-bundle-for-children) are perfect for holding small items like [miniature pies, sushi rolls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pbj-inspired-sandwich-plates) and a couple vegetables. This makes even the smallest of appetizers and finger foods look like a full meal that is spilling over the edges of the illustrated plates.

The whimsical plates come in black and white versions, as well as three different sizes. The Plate-Plate collection will launch during this year's Tokyo Design Week and will be available for purchase on-site as well as at Shotton's online shop.
