We should all be enjoying plastic-free food packaging in 2022 and Indonesian startup Evoware is working on it. The social enterprise seeks to promote sustainable lifestyles through cutting-edge biodegradable alternatives to single-use plastic products.

Evoware holds circular economy as a core value and a leading motivator for their business. The brand claims that its plastic-free food packaging is "biodegradable, compostable and even safe to be consumed." There are two streams of products here. One is the Ello Jello—[edible cups](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/verigreen) that are ideal for parties and events, made from seaweed and other plant-based materials. The second is seaweed-based packaging that is disposable and edible, coming in sheet format.
