# Sharp Stackable Seating The Plastic Lounge Chair by Mauro Fragiotta Boasts Geometric Angles By Meghan Young | Published 2012-09-21 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/plastic-lounge-chair-by-mauro-fragiotta References: [yankodesign](http://www.yankodesign.com/2012/09/20/stealthy-seating/) The Plastic Lounge Chair by Mauro Fragiotta is a modern take on the [classic stackable seat](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/omega-chair). In place of boring rounded edges are dynamic geometric angles. Instead of the traditional four-legged design, this space-saving seat features three. The back two legs have been merged to become one big support that continues the solid line of the backrest. Crafted out of ABS and nylon, the Plastic Lounge Chair by Mauro Fragiotta is a stealthy design made for contemporary homes and individuals. Nevertheless, the aesthetic is minimalist enough to complement just about any living space. This is made more true since the inspiration for the overall shape came from the iconic [Eames](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fly-armchair) Plywood chair. [Lightweight, vibrant](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ai-lite-chair) and full of personality, the Plastic Lounge Chair is exactly what people who like to host big parties need. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.7/10 - Popularity: 78% | Activity: 54% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Geometric Angles:** Utilizing dynamic angles in product design creates a modern and unique aesthetic. - **Space-saving Design:** Incorporating innovative design elements to maximize space utilization offers convenience and functionality. - **Contemporary Minimalism:** Blending minimalist design with vibrant colors provides a stylish and versatile option for modern living spaces. ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture:** Developing stackable seating solutions that incorporate geometric angles and space-saving designs can revolutionize the furniture industry. - **Interior Design:** Integrating contemporary minimalistic furniture designs can enhance the overall aesthetic and functionality of interior spaces. - **Event Planning:** Offering lightweight and vibrant stackable chairs can provide event planners with versatile seating options for different occasions. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Stackable Screw-Free Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-stack-chair.md) - [Design-Forward Stackable Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stackable-stool.md) - [Circular Modernist Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zerogravity-chair.md) - [Multipurpose Polycarbonate Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/push-fit-chair.md) - [Fan-Shaped Stackable Stool Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stool-concept.md) - [Chic Single-Piece Plywood Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/void-lounge-chair.md) - [Curvaceous Padded Lounge Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/talk-chair.md) - [Sustainable Structural Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-limbo-chair.md) - [Stylish Stackable Office Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nesting-chair.md)
