The modern home sits in a quaint rural area located in Sesto, Italy. The [patterned roof](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ridge-house) is the highlight of the home as it sits above like a separate piece of art. The beautiful thing about this type of architecture is that the house has a completely distinct look as you see it from each side. Depending on the angle that you view it from, you will either notice the unreal roof, or the modern off-the-edge style the house was built in. Building the home on the [side of a hill](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-in-the-slope) must have been a very difficult task, but 'Plasma Studio' was able to persevere and build a stunning architectural masterpiece. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.6/10 - Popularity: 63% | Activity: 36% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/architecture) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Geometric Architecture:** Opportunity for architects and designers to create distinct and visually striking structures with unique angles and shapes. - **Rural Living:** Potential for the development of modern and innovative homes in rural areas, combining nature and contemporary design. - **Patterned Roofs:** Emerging trend of using patterned roofs as a focal point of architectural design, providing an artistic element to the overall structure. ### Where This Applies - **Architecture:** Architects can explore new possibilities in creating visually appealing and unconventional structures, pushing the boundaries of design. - **Real Estate:** Builders and developers can tap into the demand for unique and modern rural homes that offer a balance between natural surroundings and contemporary aesthetics. - **Art and Design:** Opportunity for artists and designers to collaborate on creating visually captivating patterned roof designs, blurring the lines between architecture and art. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Low-Lying Mid-Century Belgian Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-in-the-fields.md) - [Garden-Surrounded Pool House](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/geometric-pool-house.md) - [Corrugated Metal Barn-Like Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/studioac.md) - [Geometric Structural Forest Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/c-house.md) - [Contemporary Countryside Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/contemporary-countryside-home.md) - [Trapezoidal Concrete Forest Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ksa-studen.md) - [Stilts-Reading Suspended Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-hole-with-the-house-around.md) - [Chic Curved Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/curved-house1.md) - [Landscape-Integrated Holiday Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/plener-istebna.md)
