The planter features enough space for a single plant to be positioned and has a light to provide essential UV rays, which allows for placement almost anywhere in the home. The system will track the progress of the plants by encouraging the user to record auditory notes, which could help them keep up with plant care on a regular basis and support memory loss. The conceptual 'plan.t' smart planter has a wireless construction that's recharged via a built-in USB-C port on the rear. This mobile design enables users to shift the planter around a living space to keep them company wherever they go. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.1/10 - Popularity: 85% | Activity: 85% | Freshness: 12% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Dementia-supportive Technology:** The development of intelligent planter systems indicates an opportunity for innovation in tech that aids the elderly with dementia. - **Indoor Gardening Technology:** The 'plan.t' smart planter highlights an opportunity for disruptive innovation in indoor gardening technology for enhanced plant growth. - **Wireless Rechargeable Home Appliances:** The wireless construction and USB-C rechargeability of the planter illustrates an opportunity for the development of wireless rechargeable home appliances. ### Where This Applies - **Assistive Technology:** The 'plan.t' smart planter indicates an opportunity for disruption in the assistive technology industry for people with dementia. - **Smart Gardening:** The development of smart planters opens the possibility for disruptive innovation in the smart gardening industry. - **Wireless Charging:** The 'plan.t' smart planter features a wireless rechargeable design, indicating an opportunity for innovation in the wireless charging industry for home appliances. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Digital Interaction Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/planta-planter.md) - [Virtual Pet Planter Pots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/plant-pot-concept.md) - [Climate-Controlled Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-flower-system.md) - [Portable Minimal Smart Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/balconyfarm-planter.md) - [Basket-Inspired Smart Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bloom-engine-spot.md) - [Self-Watering Smart Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-leafypod.md) - [Water-Powered Planter Smart Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/planto.md) - [AI-Powered Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/leafypod.md) - [Naturalistic Self-Watering Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/apot-selfwatering-planter.md)
