# Size-Adjusting Planters The Fold Pot is a Flexible Pot Designed to Grow in Size With Your Plant By M | Published 2014-08-13 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/plant-pot References: [tuvie](http://www.tuvie.com/fold-pot-grows-with-your-plant/) & [pizzolorusso](http://pizzolorusso.com/) Isn't it annoying when you plant something in a [plant pot](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/planter-300) but it quickly outgrows the pot? Now you're stuck trying to find a new home to accommodate your growing plant. Innovative designer Emanuele Pizzolorusso came up with a clever [size-adjusting planter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hemisphere) that hopes to solve this issue. The Fold Pot is a neat [flexible pot design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tilt-planter) that can be adjusted to fit all sorts of plant sizes. Each Fold Pot is made out of heavy-duty silicone rubber and comes with a foldable design. That way gardeners can rollback the pot to custom create a size that fits the plant their trying to grow. As the plant grows bigger and bigger, gardeners can unroll the pot to give the plant more room to flourish. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.7/10 - Popularity: 61% | Activity: 12% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Flexible Planters:** The Fold Pot introduces the trend of flexible planters that can be adjusted to accommodate growing plants. - **Size-adjusting Design:** The Fold Pot highlights the trend of size-adjusting designs that allow for customization and adaptability. - **Heavy-duty Silicone Rubber:** The use of heavy-duty silicone rubber in the Fold Pot reflects the trend of durable and versatile materials in planters. ### Where This Applies - **Gardening and Horticulture:** The gardening and horticulture industry can explore the disruptive innovation opportunities presented by flexible planters like the Fold Pot. - **Design and Manufacturing:** Designers and manufacturers can tap into the trend of size-adjusting designs to create innovative planters that cater to varying plant sizes. - **Materials and Textiles:** The use of heavy-duty silicone rubber in the Fold Pot opens up new possibilities for the materials and textiles industry to develop durable and flexible materials for plant-related products. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Self-Watering Flowerpots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gropot.md) - [Naturalistic Self-Watering Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/apot-selfwatering-planter.md) - [Self-Watering Compact Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/patella-crescenda.md) - [Virtual Pet Planter Pots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/plant-pot-concept.md) - [Multifunctional Plant Pots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/face-plant-planter.md) - [Portable Minimal Smart Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/balconyfarm-planter.md) - [Zero-Waste Seedling Pots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bough-pot.md) - [Uniquely Shaped Self-Watering Pots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/self-watering-plant-house.md) - [Self-Watering Plant Pots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vivo-pot.md)
