# Window-Hugging Planters The 'Livi' Plant Planter Features Micro-Suction Arms to Keep it Affixed By Michael Hemsworth | Published 2016-04-21 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/plant-planter References: [gizmag](http://www.gizmag.com/livi-portable-planter/42888/) & [kickstarter](https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1982070287/livi-a-new-way-to-experience-plants) With the average size of homes shrinking, sacrificing a dedicated space for a planter can be difficult, so the 'Livi' plant planter is designed to make use of otherwise waste space. Featuring a cute aesthetic and micro-suction cup arms, the 'Livi' is capable of staying affixed on window panes with ease. This allows them to not only be enjoyed by inhabitants, but also stay out of the way and absorb essential sunlight during optimal times of the day. The 'Livi' plant planter is currently available for preorder on Kickstarter where the cute little planter, which comes in various colors, can be purchased for just $12 a piece. This allows those that live in urban locations with minimal space to enjoy living plants without having to consider space constraints. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.6/10 - Popularity: 98% | Activity: 92% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Vertical Gardening:** Increasing demand of window hugging planters like 'Livi' enriches the disruption of vertical gardening trend - **Micro-space Living:** The newly introduced 'Livi' plant planter exhibits disruptive potential for providing greenery in micro-space housing - **Sustainable Urban Living:** 'Livi' plant planter is a game-changer for sustainable urban living due to its space-saving and eco-friendly design ### Sectors Adopting This - **Interior Design:** 'Livi' window hugging planters are a disruptive opportunity for interior design industry in providing green aesthetics for modern living spaces - **Home Gardening:** 'Livi' plant planter poses an innovative opportunity for home gardening industry with the rising demand of micro-space living - **Eco-friendly Products:** 'Livi' plant planter is a positively disruptive innovation for eco-friendly products industry addressing limited urban living space ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Vertical Workstation Wall Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ceramic-wall-planter.md) - [Chic Self-Watering Garden Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glowpear-mini-bench.md) - [Artsy Hanging Plants](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wooden-air-plant-mobile.md) - [Monitor-Mounted Vine Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/monitree.md) - [Mini Mess-Free Garden Units](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hydroponics-garden.md) - [Futuristic Self-Watering Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-klaustrafloria.md) - [Multifunctional Plant Pots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/face-plant-planter.md) - [Portable Minimal Smart Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/balconyfarm-planter.md) - [Trellis-Equipped Indoor Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blume-planter.md)
