# Sectional Lunchbox Trays The PlanetBox Lunch Kit Helps Kids Create Personalized Meal Storage By Ady Floyd | Published 2015-08-21 | Lifestyle Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/planetbox References: [people](http://www.people.com/people/celebritybabies/gallery/0,,20945911_30375788,00.html) & [planetbox](http://planetbox.com/) This playful lunch tray from PlanetBox is the ideal back-to-school item for hungry kids. This easy-to-pack tray lays out specific areas for food placement. These sections make the task of packing a kid's lunch less grueling for parents while ensuring proper portion sizes that are ideal for children. The metal trays easily flip open to reveal indented sections that are designed to keep food separated while maintaining correct nutrient intakes. Since the tray allows food to be contained in separate areas, it rids the need for plastic bags, plastic wrap or any other environmentally harmful packaging. In addition to its convenient lunch containers, PlanetBox designed magnets that allow children to get creative and customize their own meal carrier. There are other accessories that can accompany this tray-styled lunchbox such as [spill-free bottles and fabric carrying bags](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/freezable-lunch-box), also designed by the brand. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.6/10 - Popularity: 5% | Activity: 35% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Alpha - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Health](https://www.trendhunter.com/health) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Sectional Lunchbox Trays:** Creating convenient, eco-friendly and personalized lunch containers ideal for children for back-to-school ### Sectors Adopting This - **Food Packaging Industry:** Opportunity to create innovative, eco-friendly and customizable containers for children's lunches - **Children's Accessories Industry:** Opportunity to create additional customizable and spill-proof accessories for children's lunch containers - **School Supplies Industry:** Opportunity to create complete lunchbox kits that include sectional trays, fabric carrying bags and customizable magnets for children ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Convenience-Focused Lunch Boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lunch-bundle.md) - [Compartment-Based Pet Feeding Trays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pets-snack-tray.md) - [Modular Airline Trays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/system-tray.md) - [Vibrant Freezable Lunch Boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/freezable-lunch-boxes.md) - [Playful Freezable Lunch Boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/playtime-lunch-box.md) - [Double-Walled Lunch Carriers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/insulated-lunch-box.md) - [Sleek Compartmentalized Lunch Carriers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/venn-bento-box.md) - [Three-Compartment Meal Trays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/threecompartment-tray.md) - [Meal Preparation Lunch Boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/memobento.md)
