# Gooey-Centered Globes Planetary Anatomy by FOREAL is Surrealistic Twist on the Solar System By Meghan Young | Published 2013-05-31 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/planetary-anatomy-by-foreal References: [behance.net](http://www.behance.net/gallery/Planetary-Anatomy/8975833) & [weareforeal](http://www.weareforeal.com/) Planetary Anatomy by FOREAL, a creative studio based in Trier, Germany, is made up of a series of [celestial globes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/orbit-collection) that have been cut in half. What is revealed inside will astound many, especially those who are unfamiliar with the inner workings of such planets. They each have gooey centers that make them looks like [liquid-filled candies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/comet-crusher-jawbreaker), only not as appetizing. A set of free illustrations, Planetary Anatomy by FOREAL is a "[surrealistic twist](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/looks-delicious) on the physical anatomy of our solar system," as written by the creators. They further state, "We are disclosing secrets of the inside of our planets, revealing a strange and visionary world." Incredibly well executed, the illustrations may look like something out of a Tim Burton film, but they could fool some people. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.2/10 - Popularity: 25% | Activity: 4% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Surrealistic Solar System:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore the concept of interactive, 3D models of the solar system that provide a surreal and immersive educational experience. - **Imaginative Illustrations:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop a platform or app that allows artists to create and share imaginative illustrations, fostering a community of creativity and inspiration. - **Artistic Science Communication:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create a multimedia platform that combines artistic illustrations, animations, and scientific information to make complex scientific concepts more accessible and engaging to the public. ### Where This Applies - **Education:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Integrate immersive and visually stunning educational tools into traditional science curriculum to enhance student engagement and understanding. - **Digital Art and Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop new software and tools for digital artists to push the boundaries of creativity and produce unique and imaginative artwork. - **Science Communication:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create innovative platforms and approaches that effectively communicate scientific concepts to the general public through visually compelling and immersive experiences. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Solar System-Inspired Lighting Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cosmooval.md) - [Astronomy-Based Children's Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/inflatable-solar-system-set.md) - [Levitating Solar System Decor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/quantum-solar-system.md) - [Galactic-Inspired Stationary Pins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/planet-pins.md) - [Celestial Ceiling Lighting Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cosmobile.md) - [Candy-Like Colorful Glass Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gele-series.md) - [Luxury Solar System Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bejeweled-solar-system-set.md) - [Celestial Body Office Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/air-chair-solar-series.md) - [Planetary-Inspired Glassware Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mars-collection.md)
