Following the introduction of the [biodegradable chip bag](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/date-energy-bars) (thanks, Sunchips) is this entirely [compostible and biodegradable coffee cup](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paper-pulp-coffee-carrier) and lid called the PLAnet Cup. The Australia-based Planetware created the PLAnet cup from forest-friendly paper and biofilm rather than the usual petroluem plastic from which normal coffee cups are made.

Since biofilm is plant-derived, each PLAnet Cup is completely compostable in any dump or garbage site. The PLAnet cup is white to make it easier for companies to add their logo--hear that, [Starbucks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/better-cup-for-all)?
