The experience will cost $18,000 and takes about 50 minutes to travel up to the stratosphere, reaching supersonic speeds and 9G force. This MiG-29 fighter jet is certainly not for commercial use, nor would it likely be offered as a [private jet experience](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vistajet-sleep-program) in any other country. However, there are some [aviation aficionados](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sol-r-1-flightstick) that have the money to spare that will want to travel towards the edge of the mesosphere. Taking off from Nizhny Novgorod, Russia, the plane for rent looks just like a fighter jet is imagined. With a narrow body and room for one behind the other, the surrounding glass structure will allow the rider to see views they've never imagined. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.1/10 - Popularity: 20% | Activity: 64% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 90% men, 10% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Autos](https://www.trendhunter.com/autos) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **High-altitude Experience Rentals:** The rental of warplanes for high-altitude experiences presents opportunities for the aviation industry to create unique customer experiences and increase revenue through new service offerings. - **Supersonic Tourism:** The emerging trend of renting supersonic aircraft for tourism presents opportunities for the aviation and travel industries to develop luxury and adventure tourism packages for wealthy consumers seeking once-in-a-lifetime experiences. - **Experiential Luxury Rentals:** The MiG-29 fighter jet rental presents an opportunity for the luxury industry to offer unique and highly sought-after experiences to ultra-high net worth individuals, creating new revenue streams and expanding their customer base. ### Where This Applies - **Aviation:** The aviation industry can leverage the demand for high-altitude experiences to offer unique services or packages, such as supersonic tourism or fighter jet experiences, to increase customer engagement and revenue. - **Travel:** The travel industry can capitalize on the emerging trend of supersonic tourism by offering highly exclusive tour packages featuring high-altitude experiences for wealthy consumers looking for unique and aspirational travel experiences. - **Luxury:** The luxury industry can expand its offerings by catering to ultra-high net worth individuals with unique, experiential rentals, such as the MiG-29 fighter jet, to create new revenue streams and stand out in a crowded market. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Exclusive Luxurious Spaceflight Experiences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-space-perspective.md) - [Haute Hotel-Branded Travel Experiences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/four-seasons-private-jet-experience.md) - [Ultra-Fast Private Jets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/global-8000.md) - [Galactic Atmosphere Restaurants](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spacevip.md) - [Space Tourism Travels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/balloon-spacecraft.md) - [Powerfully Propelled VTOL Drones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vtol-drone.md) - [Consumer-Driven Aircrafts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/personal-evtol-aircraft.md) - [Compact Two-Seat Helicopters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/twoseat-helicopter.md) - [Hydrogen-Powered Hypersonic Airplanes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sky-magnetar.md)
