Pixit recently unveiled a GIF keyboard, so that when you're [typing a message to a friend](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/whattotext-ai), there are several GIF suggestions that pop up on-screen, tailored to whatever it is you're having a conversation about. Rather than saying it with a static emoji, you have the chance to make your responses much more colorful by choosing clips from popular movies, TV shows and other finds from pop culture to add to your messages. What makes the keyboard so adept at matching GIFs to text was consulting with a team of experts in Natural Language Processing, including linguistic PHDs from [Stanford](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/synthetic-user-startup) in order to develop an impressive algorithm. Additionally, you can tap on each word in your message to get a specific set of GIFs to come up for a particular word or phrase—prepare for hilarity to ensue. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.1/10 - Popularity: 40% | Activity: 76% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Mobile](https://www.trendhunter.com/mobile) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **GIF Keyboard Suggestions:** The trend of GIF keyboard apps with real-time suggestions presents an opportunity for developers to create more interactive and engaging messaging platforms. - **Tailored GIF Recommendations:** The trend of personalized GIF recommendations based on text input opens up possibilities for AI-powered algorithms to enhance user messaging experiences. - **Integration of Pop Culture Gifs:** The trend of integrating popular movies, TV shows, and pop culture references into GIF keyboards allows for expressive and relatable messaging interactions. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Messaging Apps:** The messaging app industry can explore disruptive innovations by incorporating AI-powered algorithms to suggest and recommend GIFs based on user input. - **Artificial Intelligence:** The field of artificial intelligence can leverage the trend of GIF keyboards to further enhance natural language processing algorithms for better GIF recommendations. - **Entertainment Industry:** The entertainment industry can tap into the trend of GIF keyboard apps by partnering with developers to feature GIFs from popular movies and TV shows, thereby increasing user engagement and promoting their content. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Personalized Emoji Experiences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/emojibu.md) - [AI Typing Experiences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aipowered-keyboard-app.md) - [AI Emoji Assistants](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/emoji-bot.md) - [Playful Gen Z Keyboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/logitech-pop-keys.md) - [Keyboard-First Note Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jot-paste-app.md) - [Emoji Access Platforms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tiktok-emoji-finder.md) - [Meme Text Generators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/meme-keeb.md) - [Animated-Photo AI-Fueled Chat Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/embodyme.md) - [AI Emoji Creators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/iemoji-ai.md)
