With a [minimalist design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/max-headphones-charging-stand), the Pixel Stand holds the smartphone upright as it's charging, allowing it to function as a smart display that can be adapted to suit different consumer preferences. What makes the Pixel Stand especially unique is its ability to transform the Pixel 3 into a Google Assistant, allowing consumers to ask it questions, put on a playlist, or see what traffic will be like on their morning commute while they get ready. With this smart interface, the Pixel Stand can even automatically trigger the Do Not Disturb mode on the Pixel 3 when it's charging while the user sleeps, or generate an ambient light to help them wake up just before their alarm goes off. Canadian consumers looking to pre-order the Pixel 3 and take advantage of the complimentary Pixel Stand promotion can do so until October 31st. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.7/10 - Popularity: 73% | Activity: 60% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Wireless Charging Accessories:** Developing customizable and versatile wireless charging docks will continue to enhance user experience. - **Smartphone Accessories:** The market for smartphone accessories with advanced functionality, such as wireless charging docks with smart interfaces, will continue to grow. - **Smart Display Interfaces:** Developing smart interfaces for wireless charging docks that can display personalized information to users will be a significant trend in the industry. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Consumer Electronics:** Wireless charging docks and smart accessories for smartphones will continue to be a significant trend in the consumer electronics industry. - **Home Automation:** Developing wireless charging docks with smart interfaces and compatibility with various home automation systems will be an opportunity for growth in the industry. - **Mobile Accessories:** The introduction of wireless charging docks with advanced functionality will push innovation in the mobile accessory industry. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Stand-Attached Smart Tablets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pixel-tablet.md) - [Wireless Charging Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/google-pixelsnap-charger.md) - [Magnetic Fast-Charge Smartphone Docks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nomad-stand.md) - [Rapid Flagship Smartphone Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/usbc-power-charger.md) - [Smart Hub Tablets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/google-pixel-tablet.md) - [Standing Multi-Device Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stand-one-max.md) - [Contemporary Magnetic Device Docks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/magsafe-charger-stand.md) - [Magnetic Headphone Stands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-max-stand.md) - [Luxe Triple-Device Charging Docks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/twelve-south-hirise-3-deluxe.md)
