# Rocker Tablet Accessories Pix & Stix Lets Takes the iPad's GarageBand app to the Next Level By Michael Hines | Published 2011-05-15 | Pop Culture Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pix-stix References: [technabob](http://technabob.com/blog/2011/05/12/pix-and-stix-ipad-drumsticks/) & [pixandstix](http://www.pixandstix.com/products/pix-stix) For those who are about to rock out on the [iPad](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/elago-magnetic-stand-for-ipad), we salute you, and recommend that you replace your finger drumsticks and guitar picks with Pix & Stix. This set of drumsticks and guitar picks is designed for use with the iPad's GarageBand app. The guitar picks and drumsticks of Pix & Stix all have electroconductive rubber tips to help them gel with the iPad's touchscreen, and are all weighted realistically so they won't accidentally fly out of your hand during your badass [drum solo](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/melodics-drums). Each pack costs around $16 and includes both a set of drumsticks and a guitar pick. While I have never given the GarageBand app a go, these do seem like essential accessories if you want to go from an iPad-playing zero to a jukebox hero. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.0/10 - Popularity: 4% | Activity: 19% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Pop Culture](https://www.trendhunter.com/popculture) > [Media](https://www.trendhunter.com/media) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Tablet Accessories:** The rise of tablet usage has created a demand for innovative accessories that enhance user experience. - **Music Tech:** The intersection of technology and music is creating new opportunities for innovative products that enhance music creation and performance. - **Touchscreen Compatibility:** As touchscreen devices become more prevalent, there is a growing need for accessories that are specifically designed to interact with touchscreens. ### Who This Affects Most - **Consumer Electronics:** There is a market for innovative tablet accessories that cater to the needs of tablet users. - **Music Equipment:** The music industry can benefit from incorporating technology into traditional instruments to enhance performance and creativity. - **Mobile App Development:** Developers can explore creating specialized apps that can be used in conjunction with innovative tablet accessories to enhance user experience. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Pick-Dispensing Guitar Pedals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stompbox.md) - [Headstock-Topped MIDI Guitars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/midi-guitars.md) - [AI-Powered Guitar Pick Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/piek.md) - [Customizable Guitar Pickups](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/customizable-guitar-pickups.md) - [Button-Activated Guitar Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rockdreamer-guitarbar.md) - [Acoustic Guitar Bows](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pickaso-guitar-bow.md) - [Digitized Guitar Whammy Bars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/guitar-whammy-bar.md) - [Effect-Emitting Guitar Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/guitar-gadgets.md) - [Premium Versatile Guitar Picks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/guitar-pick-1.md)
