The large, bulkily framed Pivothead Colfax glasses are capable of shooting 8-megapixel photos and 1080p HD video from a camera embedded right in the center of the glasses. The left earpiece wears buttons that can be used to trigger photo actions. The glasses are entirely Bluetooth-capable, and can be synced to your smartphone, allowing you to receive LED notifications when you receive a message or call. The highlight of these glasses are the add-on modules that can be slipped onto them to expand their capabilities. For example, one of the modules can turn on [live streaming](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/meta-rayban-display-sunglasses) while another acts as a battery pack to expand the device's range. There are also modules for capturing time lapses, bursts and panorama shots. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.1/10 - Popularity: 2% | Activity: 22% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Wearable Eyeglass Technology:** The Pivothead Colfax glasses showcase the trend of wearable eyeglass technology with a built-in camera for capturing photos and video. - **Bluetooth Connectivity:** The Pivothead Colfax glasses utilize Bluetooth technology to sync with smartphones, demonstrating the trend of Bluetooth connectivity in wearable devices. - **Modular Add-ons:** The Pivothead Colfax glasses feature add-on modules that expand their capabilities, representing the trend of modular design in wearable technology. ### Who This Affects Most - **Consumer Electronics:** The Pivothead Colfax glasses align with the consumer electronics industry, offering a new and innovative way to capture photos and videos. - **Wearable Technology:** The Pivothead Colfax glasses belong to the wearable technology industry, showcasing advancements in eyewear with built-in camera functionality. - **Photography and Videography:** The Pivothead Colfax glasses cater to the photography and videography industry, providing a unique and convenient tool for capturing high-quality visuals. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Collaborative AI-Powered Sunglasses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/performance-ai-glasses.md) - [Intelligent Athletic Eyewear Styles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oakley-meta-vanguard.md) - [Hybrid Camera Headphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/musiccam.md) - [Vision-Activated Smart Glasses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pangolin-gen3.md) - [Dual-Camera AR Eyewear](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/superhexa-vision.md) - [Open-Source AI Eyewear](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/frame-glasses.md) - [AI Voice Assistant Eyewear](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/htc-vive-eagle.md) - [Advanced AI Assistance Eyewear](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/looktech-ai-glasses.md) - [AI-Powered Smart Eyewear](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/meta-hstn.md)
