An interesting mix of being desktop-based but with a touchscreen, the Pipo X9 resembles a tablet in some sort of cradle, yet is anything but. Featuring a 8.9-inch display, the Pipo X9 has a hi-def screen as well as a [Intel](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/picopc) Atom Z3736F Bay Trail processor for a faster user interface that's running both Windows 10 and [Google](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pixel-tablet) Android 4.4 for your convenience. Currently available for pre-order, the Pipo X9 features four USB ports, an HDMI port and ethernet port, which offers the usability of a PC in a smaller design. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.2/10 - Popularity: 88% | Activity: 89% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Computers](https://www.trendhunter.com/computers) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Hybrid Devices:** The rise of devices that combine features of different technologies, such as tablets and desktops, creates opportunities for disruptive innovation in the computer industry. - **Multi-operating Systems:** Devices that run multiple operating systems, like the Pipo X9 with Windows 10 and Google Android 4.4, open up possibilities for disruptive innovation in the software industry. - **Compact Design:** The trend of compact devices with full PC functionality, like the Pipo X9's smaller design with USB ports and an HDMI port, presents opportunities for disruptive innovation in the consumer electronics industry. ### Who This Affects Most - **Computer:** The computer industry can explore hybrid devices that offer the functionality of both tablets and desktops. - **Software:** The software industry can develop solutions for devices that can run multiple operating systems. - **Consumer Electronics:** The consumer electronics industry can focus on creating compact devices with full PC functionality for convenience and portability. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Touchscreen-Embedded Desktop PCs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/planetpc-xr2-mini.md) - [Cubic Palm-Sized PCs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fusion5-fmp4.md) - [Palm-Sized Desktop PCs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/morefine-m8s.md) - [Portable High-Power All-in-One PCs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/allinone-mini-pc.md) - [Ultra-Compact Media PCs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pix-nii.md) - [Touchscreen-Equipped Mini PCs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minisforum-atomman-x7-ti.md) - [Pyramidal Mini PC Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/m5stack-ai-pyramid-computing-box.md) - [Shapeshifting Business Gamer Laptops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gpd-pocket-4.md) - [Screen-Monitoring Mini PCs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/atomman-x7-ti.md)
