As though straight out of a Dr. Seuss book, these pink islands are a real [art installation](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flower-market-20) and not the product of Photoshop or other manipulation programs. Although at first it looks like sand was perhaps turned pink, the pink islands are actually surrounded by a belt of fuchsia plastic. Eleven in total were impressively lined with this material.

Created by artistic duo Christo et Jeanne-Claude, the pink islands can be found along the [Biscayne Bay in Miami, Florida](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/miami-art-week). They will be existing in this sublime state for a total of two weeks. Essentially ushering in a new season a fun and festive way, the pink islands are imaginative and creative as well as an incredible stunt in general. Too bad they can't stay forever.
