# Lighting-Transitioning Bedrooms This Pink Bedroom Takes on a New Identity at Night By Mishal Omar | Published 2016-05-31 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pink-bedroom References: [home-designing](http://www.home-designing.com/2016/05/unique-bedroom-showcase-which-one-are-you) & [pinwin.ru](http://www.pinwin.ru/konkurs.php?kact=2&knid=86&rbid=14362) The designers of this pink bedroom titled it 'the Andromeda Project' after Andromeda in Greek mythology but its vivid colors and extremely unique design are nothing but a fusion of [retro and modern styles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kyano). In the day, this bedroom is almost entirely pink and has some strange features -- including [large silver baubles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ode-to-the-moon) and bubble-shaped cutout mirrors in the walls. The room uses as many textures as possible -- with a rock path covered in glass surrounding the bed, padded walls and 3D geometric shelving. At night, this pink bedroom retains its central color but almost completely transforms with [glowing pink, purple and blue lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/evening-sky) that surround the room. This remarkable room may be over-the-top for some, but its unique design would make an excellent inspiration for those who would like to add some feminine touches to their own bedrooms. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.3/10 - Popularity: 78% | Activity: 43% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 10% men, 90% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Retro-modern Fusion:** Designers are incorporating retro and modern styles in unique ways, creating opportunities for disruption in interior design. - **Multi-texture Design:** Designers are experimenting with multiple textures in room design, creating opportunities for disruptive innovation in fabrics and materials. - **Nighttime Lighting Transformation:** Designers are utilizing technology to transform rooms with lighting at night, creating opportunities for innovative lighting manufacturers and installers. ### Who This Affects Most - **Interior Design:** This trend creates opportunities for interior design companies to incorporate retro-modern fusion and multi-texture designs in their services. - **Fabric and Material Suppliers:** This trend creates opportunities for fabric and material suppliers to offer unique and diverse materials for multi-texture designs. - **Lighting Manufacturers and Installers:** This trend creates opportunities for lighting manufacturers and installers to specialize in nighttime lighting transformation for homes and businesses. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Pink-Detailed Art Gallery Interiors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/superzoom.md) - [Marble-Patterned Interiors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/psychedelic-interior.md) - [Elevated Design-Forward Pink Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pink-villa1.md) - [Vibrant Milanese Apartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/milanese-apartment.md) - [Astronaut Night Light Projectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/night-light-projectors.md) - [Whimsical Family Home Renovations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/2lg-studio.md) - [Artful Soft-Pink Dining Rooms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-gallery-at-sketch.md) - [Doll-Inspired Bedrooms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bedroom-for-ken.md) - [Colorful Room Sanctuaries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/colorful-room.md)
