The incredible design has a glass table-top that lets users see in, providing a visually exciting decoration as well as an entertaining game. With flashing lights, levers and balls, the game is fitted inside a low coffee table that can be used to set drinks on as well. The galactic game was designed by ALTAR furniture, which used a decommisioned pinball machine from 1991 as its base. The spectacular design won the hearts of Star Wars fans everywhere but also a design award in Milan. Though many Sci-Fi fans would love to have this pinball game machine in their living room, the multipurpose detailed coffee table costs $13,000. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.1/10 - Popularity: 72% | Activity: 43% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Functional Furniture:** Designing furniture that serves multiple purposes such as a coffee table that doubles as a pinball machine game. - **Geeky Home Decor:** Creating home decor items that capture the essence of popular sci-fi or fantasy stories like Star Wars. - **Retrofitted Electronics:** Reviving and updating classic electronics like the decommisioned pinball machine that ALTAR furniture used for their design. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Furniture:** Companies in the furniture industry can explore ways to add functionality to their designs, creating unique and multi-purpose pieces. - **Home Decor:** Companies in the home decor industry can cater to niche interests like sci-fi fans, producing quirky and distinctive items. - **Electronics:** Companies in the electronics industry can consider repurposing outdated technology in creative ways, creating new and innovative products. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Connected Pinball Machines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stern-pinball-1.md) - [Digitized Pinball Machines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/skillshot-fx-digital-pinball.md) - [DIY Wooden Pinball Puzzles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/3d-wooden-puzzle.md) - [Parody-Themed Pinball Machines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pinball-game.md) - [Gaming Console Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mario-cart-coffe-table.md) - [Cinematic Shark Pinball Games](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stern-pinball-jaws-pinball-machine.md) - [4K Display Arcade Games](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/digital-pinball-machine.md) - [Pop Art-Inspired Foosball Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rs4-home-x-hey-foosball-table.md) - [Video Game-Inspired Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pac-man-side-table.md)
