The PILU Lamp has been assembled in such a way that enables it to sway back and forth so that it can illuminate from an upright position as well as at one with a slant. Designer Leoni Werle built the bent bases of the floor lamp and table lamp versions by taking a pair of beveled wooden blocks and then fixing them together. Both timber wedges anchor metal rods that emerge perfectly perpendicular; one of them extends all the way to the lightbulb while the other meets it in the middle and acts as a secondary support.
