The Pig project may look like a cute [art installation](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/heir-and-a-spare), but it actually carries quite a sad yet important message. It shows how pigs are born into this world only to be eaten, from head to toe. A serious illustration, the Pig project centers around an adorable piglet sculpture made entirely from [sausages and bacon strips](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pigs-in-blankets-collection).

Created by London-based freelance animator and illustrator Sophie H. Powell in collaboration with Bonnie Moriarty, the Pig project is pretty clever, even if it is a rather simple display of [animal rights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/food-lion1). Powell and Moriarty created a piglet so as to pluck our heartstrings. Although many of us are disgusted at animal cruelty, the image of baby animals strikes the heart of the matter even more.
