The design draws elements of Japanese design for inspiration with an elevated elegance and [minimal aesthetic](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-in-kyobate). Yacine Bensalem, principal at In Situ & Partners explains that “The ‘less is more’ approach of Japanese design was our guideline for this project." The team created a space that measures over 2,000 square feet and the apartment evokes a sense of tranquility once guests enter. The main focus is the main living space shaped like a 'T' and the [traditional tatami tea room](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/studio-aluc). The space is defined by warm wooden touches and a touch of cultural contrast wth the infusion of European design objects.
