These vibrant [weaved lighting fixtures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gurunsi) were in fact inspired by the [delicious, crusty all-American dessert](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/banana-lamp). Designed by DZstudio, the 'Pie Pendant Lamp' does resemble more of a 'funkified' wicker basket than anything else, however. Yet, it's easy to see the pie reference in the weaving as well. Made out of plastic, it's available in a slew of colors. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.3/10 - Popularity: 8% | Activity: 23% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 10% men, 90% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Vibrant Weaved Lighting:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation lies in creating unique lighting fixtures with vibrant weaved designs. - **Funkified Wicker Basket:** There is potential for disruptive innovation in designing unconventional home decor inspired by familiar objects like wicker baskets. - **Colorful Plastic Design:** The use of vibrant plastic materials in design presents a disruptive innovation opportunity for creating eye-catching and durable products. ### Who This Affects Most - **Interior Design:** The interior design industry can explore new possibilities by incorporating vibrant weaved lighting fixtures in their projects. - **Home Decor:** The home decor industry has a chance to offer unique and unconventional products by embracing the funkified wicker basket trend in their designs. - **Plastic Manufacturing:** The plastic manufacturing industry can capitalize on the demand for colorful plastic designs by creating innovative and sustainable products. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Bakery-Inspired Pendant Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/croissant-pendant-light.md) - [Ice Cream-Resembling Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soft-serve-lamp.md) - [Dazzling Polyhedral Pendant Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/puff-pendant-lights.md) - [Encapsulated Semi-Transparent Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nested-pendant-light.md) - [Plant Pod-Inspired Pendant Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nature-inspired-pendant-light.md) - [Metal Thread Pendant Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nest-lamp.md) - [Pasta-Inspired Curvaceous Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/neotenic-lamp.md) - [Recycled Material Pendant Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zbozhzha-pendant-light.md) - [Hat-Like Fabric Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flying-lamp.md)
