# Creative Doorbells The Pianobell By Ayman | Published 2008-08-09 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pianobell References: [freshome](http://freshome.com/2008/08/08/forget-the-boring-doorbell-here-is-the-pianobell/) & [labexp.blogspot](http://labexp.blogspot.com/2008/07/pianobell.html) Designer *Li Jian* felt pretty bored with the same old [doorbells](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/new-blink-video-doorbell), so he came up with this cool interactive doorbell concept: the **Pianobell**. As the name suggests, the Pianobell is inspired by the [piano musical instrument](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/roli-piano). Rather than play a preset tune, the Pianobell allows your visitors to play a short musical piece to let you know they are at the door. It's a pretty cool concept. Maybe we can have even larger versions with more keys for elaborate pieces. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.0/10 - Popularity: 15% | Activity: 68% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Interactive Doorbells:** Opportunity for creating doorbells that engage and entertain visitors through interactive features. - **Musical Doorbells:** Potential to design doorbells that allow visitors to play musical pieces instead of traditional ringing sounds. - **Customizable Doorbells:** Innovation possibility for doorbells that can be personalized with different musical tones or sounds. ### Where This Applies - **Home Improvement:** Potential for offering innovative doorbell options as part of home renovation or improvement projects. - **Product Design:** Opportunity for product designers to create unique and engaging doorbell concepts. - **Smart Home Technology:** Integration of interactive doorbells into smart home systems for enhanced visitor experience. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Tooth-Shaped Active Doorbell Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/skitter.md) - [Minimalist Sound-Free Doorbells](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/silent-doorbell.md) - [Soundless Doorbell Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/silent-doorbell-1.md) - [Charming Avian Door Chimes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/timbre-tori-door-chime.md) - [AI-Powered Entryway Light Projectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dearbell.md) - [Live-Streaming Fish Doorbells](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/visdeurbel.md) - [Touchscreen Grand Pianos](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/porochista.md) - [Festive Doorbell Greeting Sounds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vivint.md) - [Musical Instrument Pet Feeders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pet-piano.md)
