A successor to the previous One Piano system, the Piano Hi-Lite comes in the form of an [LED light strip](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/intelligent-lighting-product) that can be secured onto any 88-key keyboard. The strip then lights up the keys in order to enhance the learning experience. The light patterns can be controlled by a [companion smartphone app](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/piano-widget) that comes with a variety of sheet music. Easy, fun and rewarding to use, the Piano Hi-Lite system is a great example of modern technology being used as an educational tool in the context of musical instruments. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.8/10 - Popularity: 49% | Activity: 56% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Smart Piano Learning:** The trend of using technology to enhance piano learning experiences presents opportunities for developers to create innovative solutions for music education. - **LED Light Strip Integration:** The trend of integrating LED light strips onto musical instruments presents opportunities for manufacturers to create more intuitive and interactive instruments. - **Companion Smartphone Apps:** The trend of developing companion smartphone apps for musical instrument learning presents opportunities for developers to create enhanced learning experiences and foster a wider interest in music education. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Musical Instruments:** The integration of LED light strips and companion smartphone apps onto traditional musical instruments is disruptive innovation opportunity in the musical instruments industry. - **Edtech:** Smart piano learning systems can be used as a disruptive innovation opportunity in the EdTech industry by further incorporating technology into education. - **Mobile App Development:** The trend of developing companion apps for musical instrument learning presents disruptive innovation opportunities in the mobile app development industry to create educational apps with interactive features. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Mini Illuminated Digital Pianos](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-portable-piano.md) - [AI-Powered Piano Learning Platforms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/roli-ai-music-coach.md) - [Digital Motion-Sensing Pianos](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/roli-piano.md) - [Portable Music Course Pianos](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/duolingo-5.md) - [Digital HD Display Pianos](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mozart-console-piano.md) - [Illuminated Guitar-Learning Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fret-zealot-2.md) - [Personalized Piano Learning](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/misolla-music.md) - [Hand-Sensing Musical Instruments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/roli-airwave.md) - [Talking Robotic Pianos](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chopstix.md)
