What makes this piano concept so special is the fact that it is equipped with [adjustable keyboard action technology](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lumo-x700). What that means is that players can select whether they want the keys to feel like the heavy, weighted keys of a grand piano or light like a typical [electronic synthesizer](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/3tonic). Designed in collaboration with the [Porsche](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/porsche-x-overwatch-2) Design Studio, the MPiano is fitted with high-tech electronic actuators that allow the keys' feel to be manipulated. Ultimately, this piano concept proves that technology can be used to alter the tactile feel of instruments, thereby strengthening the musician-instrument connection. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.7/10 - Popularity: 30% | Activity: 12% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Multimedia](https://www.trendhunter.com/multimedia) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Adjustable Keyboard Technology:** Developing adjustable keyboard action technology for musical instruments like the MPiano opens up opportunities for musicians to customize the tactile feel of their instruments, enhancing their overall experience and performance. - **Interfacing Innovation:** Exploring new ways to improve musician-instrument interfacing, like the MPiano's high-tech electronic actuators, presents an opportunity for disruptive innovation and improving the overall experience and quality of music produced. - **Futuristic Instrument Concepts:** Creating and designing futuristic instrument concepts, like the MPiano developed by Alpha Pianos, can inspire creativity and experimentation in the music industry, opening up new possibilities for musicians and instrument manufacturers. ### Where This Applies - **Musical Instrument Manufacturing:** Manufacturers and designers of musical instruments can incorporate adjustable keyboard action technology, inspired by the MPiano, in their products to appeal to customers who desire a customized tactile experience. - **Music Education:** Introducing advanced and customizable instruments, like the MPiano, in music education programs can enhance the learning experience of students and promote creativity and innovation in the music industry. - **Home Entertainment:** Incorporating futuristic and high-tech features like adjustable keyboard action technology, seen in the MPiano, in home entertainment products such as digital pianos can create a unique and personalized experience for customers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Digital HD Display Pianos](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mozart-console-piano.md) - [Collaboration Piano Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/concept-model-piano.md) - [Digital Motion-Sensing Pianos](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/roli-piano.md) - [Mini Illuminated Digital Pianos](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-portable-piano.md) - [Sculptural Art Pianos](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/steel-and-stone-piano-v2.md) - [AI-Powered Piano Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/roli-piano-system.md) - [Ultra-Modern MIDI Instruments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/midi-device.md) - [Hexagonal Music Composition Keyboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/music-composition-keyboard.md) - [Minimalist MIDI Guitar Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/midi-guitar.md)
