For the [Department of Cultural Affairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/department-of-architecture-company), design architects ‘Emergent’ have created this [photosynthetic wall](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/humanise-wall) to raise awareness for alternative fuels. The Flower Street BioReactor is a wall filled with [algae that produces oil](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/edible-algae-cultivation-facility) due to photosynthesis. It’s full of LED lights that maintain the appropriate algae conditions.

Emergent has said of the Flower Street BioReactor that, “Our primary goal was to create a sense of delight and exotic beauty around new technologies by decontextualizing them and amplifying their potential atmospheric and spatial effects.”

Quite the aesthetic fuel awareness project!
