The series, appropriately entitled 'Desfilia' -- which is translated to "parade" -- shows a series of [pictures taken in a city](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nonnas-cam) called Jinotega. This is a city the photographer would travel to every other weekend while living there for over a year.

His travels to the city, as well as the captures, were a nice change for [photographer Kevin Kunishi](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/still-life-1) , who was there to document those involved in the civil war between the Contras and Sadinistas. Every Sunday was a day to celebrate in this city as parades would be occurring on a frequent basis. As the pictures attest to, children and teenagers would be frequently seen dressed up in [elaborate costumes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shapes-we-take). As some opted for their finest Sunday attire, others went all out donning outlandish ensembles.
