This is thanks to the bending design of the 'ShiftLens' that can be shifted into different positions in order to capture in various ways. The 'ShiftLens' works by being affixed onto the [rear-facing camera on your smartphone](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/martvsen-magstack) and instantly going to work to enable users to capture in different ways. This functionality has not been possible with devices, which is purported to have limited what's capable of being achieved with the smartphone camera. The 'ShiftLens' smartphone photo lens is currently in the prototype phase and shows promise for being a versatile piece of equipment to upgrade devices. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.3/10 - Popularity: 79% | Activity: 73% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Mobile](https://www.trendhunter.com/mobile) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Bending Smartphone Lenses:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in capturing photos from multiple angles. - **Versatile Smartphone Camera Accessories:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in developing accessories that enhance smartphone camera functionality. - **Shifting Photography Technologies:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in developing new technologies that enable flexible photography capabilities. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Smartphone Accessories:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in the development of versatile camera lens attachments for smartphones. - **Consumer Electronics:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in developing new technologies that enhance smartphone camera capabilities. - **Photography Equipment:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in the development of flexible camera lenses for various devices. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Photographer-Grade Smartphone Lenses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shiftcam-lensultra-explorer-series.md) - [Detachable Mobile Camera Lenses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mobile-camera-lens.md) - [Pro-Grade Smartphone Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/switchlens.md) - [Content Creation Smartphone Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mobile-creator-gear.md) - [Magnetic Smartphone Photography Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shiftcam-snapgrip.md) - [Magnetic Snap-On Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/snapgrip.md) - [Pro-Approved Smartphone Lenses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moment-tseries-mobile-lenses.md) - [Smartphone Photographer Sling Bags](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shiftcam-workflow-sling.md) - [Full Lens-Equipped Smartphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/xiaomi-2.md)
