The series, titled Dream Houses, distorts the original images of homes and recreates [dream-like variations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/yoohome) of them. The houses are sometimes heightened by layering a clip of the house on top of each other, or expanded almost kaleidoscopically by replicating certain cuts of the image. All houses are reconstructed in an extreme manner, emphasized in a way that reminds you of a house you'd see in dreams. Jantzen shot the original photographs with a digital camera and edited the images to look eerily intriguing. Jantzen named each of the final products with fitting names. For example, the elongated home is titled 'High-rise House' while another fierce-looking house with [sharp angles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fractal-facade-house) and details is called 'Home of the Brave.' ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.4/10 - Popularity: 78% | Activity: 75% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Hauntingly Artistic Photo Collages:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore new ways to manipulate and distort images to create unique and captivating art. - **Dream-like Architectural Variations:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop innovative techniques to recreate and reimagine buildings in ways that evoke dream-like qualities. - **Digital Imaging for Intriguing Effects:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Experiment with digital editing techniques to create visually intriguing and mysterious images. ### Who This Affects Most - **Art and Photography:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Integrate technology and unconventional techniques to push the boundaries of traditional art forms. - **Architecture and Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore unconventional approaches to architectural representation and challenge traditional building designs. - **Digital Editing and Manipulation:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop advanced editing tools and techniques for creating unique and captivating visual effects. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Interactive Architectural Pavilions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/folding-landscape.md) - [Dynamic Moving-Illusion Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moving-furniture.md) - [Social Experiment Virtual Apartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/uncanny-spaces.md) - [AI-Generated Real-World Transformations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ai-generated-world.md) - [Paper-Made Mosaic Artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/real-life-architecture-exhibition.md) - [Sculptural Inverted Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/a-house-with-an-inverted-roof.md) - [Pavilion-Style Art Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/galeria-house.md) - [Modernist Gingerbread Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gingerbread-dreamhouse.md) - [Sculptural Facade Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fractal-facade-house.md)
