Previously, Robocat created a temperature-telling app called Thermo, which allowed smartphone users to tell the temperature outside to the exact degree, but not the temperature within their immediate surroundings. Thermodo is an actual thermometer that links to this app so users can determine the exact temperature within each room. It comes fitted with a key ring that can be hooked onto a key chain, keeping the device ready for action. The Thermodo phone temperature sensor comes in white and black so that users can match it to the color of their [iPhone](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flir-one-edge-pro). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.9/10 - Popularity: 36% | Activity: 42% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Health](https://www.trendhunter.com/health) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Smartphone Room Monitoring:** The trend of smartphone-compatible devices that allow users to monitor their immediate surroundings presents further opportunities to develop new and innovative room monitoring applications. - **Phone Jack Sensors:** The increasing popularity of phone jack sensors shows potential for more technologies that incorporate this feature to create additional functions and applications for smartphones. - **Personal Climate Control:** The ability to accurately measure the temperature of a room using a smartphone opens up opportunities for disruptive innovation in the realm of personal climate control devices. ### Where This Applies - **Smart Home:** Smartphone room monitoring technology can be integrated into the smart home industry to create a more efficient and customized environment for homeowners. - **Mobile Accessories:** Phone jack sensors and other mobile accessories have the potential for growth in the mobile tech industry and could pave the way for new and innovative smartphone features. - **Environmental Monitoring:** Inaccurate temperature readings can impact research and development in industries such as scientific research environmental monitoring; accurate and efficient temperature measuring technology has the potential to transform these industries. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Contactless Smartphone Thermometers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tempbuddy-smartphone-thermometer.md) - [Accurate Temperature Monitoring Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wireless-hygrometer-thermometer.md) - [Digital LED Thermometers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/therm-c.md) - [Mobile Thermal Imaging Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smartphone-thermal-imaging-camera.md) - [Motion-Sensing Thermostat Sensors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wyze-room-sensor.md) - [Thermal-Image Smartphone Add-Ons](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flir-one-edge-pro.md) - [Temperature-Monitoring Earrings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/thermal-earring.md) - [Smart Pet Thermometers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drpetcare-smart-thermometer.md) - [Wireless Smart Thermometers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wireless-smart-thermometer.md)
