Rather than just transferring power or enabling syncing from a source, the cable features an [in-line battery pack](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ridge-magnetic-power-bank) that'll charge up whenever connected to a power source. This allows users to keep their device charged without having to think twice about carrying an additional battery pack around. The Lemniscate Phone Cable features a multi-use design aside from the battery pack that includes a [PC card reader](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/photofast-photopower) and even USB OTG capabilities. The cable is currently available for backing on [Kickstarter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/connect-pro-cable) where the multipurpose USB cord can be purchased for an early bird price of just €35. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.6/10 - Popularity: 78% | Activity: 52% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Multi-use Smartphone Cables:** Integrating additional features into smartphone cables offers a disruptive innovation opportunity in the mobile accessories industry. - **In-line Battery Pack Technology:** Developing in-line battery pack technology offers a disruptive innovation opportunity in the mobile charging industry. - **Multi-purpose USB Cables:** Designing multi-purpose USB cables offers a disruptive innovation opportunity in the data transfer industry. ### Where This Applies - **Mobile Accessories:** The mobile accessories industry can benefit from integrating additional features into smartphone cables. - **Mobile Charging:** The mobile charging industry can benefit from developing in-line battery pack technology. - **Data Transfer:** The data transfer industry can benefit from designing multi-purpose USB cables. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Vibrant Lanyard Charging Cables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lanyard-charging.md) - [Folding Multi-Position Charger Cables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/keychain-charger-cable.md) - [Multipurpose Charging Cables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zeusx-go-ultra.md) - [Real-Time Monitoring Charging Cables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chipofy-cable.md) - [Multifunctional Charging Cable Banks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ivycable-gen2.md) - [Magnetic Charging Innovations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/connect-pro-cable.md) - [Dual-Device Charging Cables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oneplus-2in1-supervooc-cable.md) - [Multipurpose Magnetic Cables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/supercalla-cable.md) - [Three-in-One Smartphone Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chargepuck.md)
