Currently being tested at select locations, the new Philly Chicken Sandwich offers a Philadelphia-inspired twist on the brand's signature chicken sandwich. The new sandwich essentially tried to mimic the authentic Philly cheesesteak experience by pairing a crispy white meat breast fillet with Provolone cheese, red and green bell peppers, grilled onions, and [BK’s](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/royal-crispy-chicken-sandwiches) Royal Sauce. If this new sandwich sound surprisingly familiar, that's because it is. Back in 2013. Burger King offered a very similar Philly Original Chicken Sandwich, which paired a lightly breaded chicken fillet with grilled onions, bell peppers, American cheese, and creamy cheese sauce. The biggest difference is that this previous sandwich was served on a long, sesame seed bun.
