# Double-Take Animal Photography Intimate Views by Tim Flack By Elsa Blaine | Published 2008-05-16 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/phenomenal-animal-photography-tim-flacks-intimate-views References: [changethethought](http://www.changethethought.com/) & [timflach](http://www.timflach.com/) Tim Flack's portfolio of photography is astonishing. He captures stunning images of animals using unexpected perspectives and extreme close-up points of view. Flack's photos of bats are genius, he actually makes them look.. cute: in a way. There is a sense of actually 'experiencing' the creatures in his art. His Equus Project is a collection of horse portraits that are beyond beautiful. I only wish I could have posted many more photos. **Implications** - No matter what the animal, whether it's slightly grotesque in nature or the cutest, most desirable pet, Flack's lens casts a light on them that is beautiful, captivating and will make you rethink your perceptions. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.2/10 - Popularity: 93% | Activity: 86% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Modern](https://www.trendhunter.com/modern) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Intimate Animal Photography:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop a technology that allows for even closer and more intimate perspectives in animal photography. - **Unconventional Animal Portraits:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create a platform or app that connects photographers specializing in capturing unique and unexpected angles of animals with clients looking for unconventional animal portraits. - **Enhancing Animal Perception:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop augmented reality glasses or devices that allow users to see animals from different perspectives, enhancing the overall perception of the natural world. ### Where This Applies - **Photography:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Introduce AI-powered cameras that analyze animal behavior and capture perfect shots automatically. - **Art:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create a platform that allows artists to collaborate with photographers to create stunning animal-inspired artworks. - **Technology:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Implement computer vision technology to identify and track animals in real-time, providing valuable insights for research and conservation purposes. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Pet-Taken Camera Initiatives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/heartography.md) - [Striking Urban Wildlife Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clare-allin.md) - [Painting-Immersive Photo Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/new-ground-exhibition.md) - [Animal-Perspective Video Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/imaging-system-1.md) - [Almost-Extinct Animal Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fauna-series.md) - [Pattern-Heavy Design Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/what-are-you-looking-at.md) - [AI Pet Photography](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pet-lens-ai.md) - [AI Pet Portraits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drawmypet.md) - [Animal-Indexing Camera Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/xplra-10.md)
