# Convenient Camera Holsters The Capture Clip System by Peter Dering Makes for Quick and Easy Shots By Peter Vallas | Published 2011-05-11 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/peter-dering References: [technabob](http://technabob.com/blog/2011/05/10/capture-camera-clip/) & [kickstarter](http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/97103764/capture-camera-clip-system) Peter Dering is a photographer who never wants to miss that Kodak moment. Many photographers who use [large DSLRs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dji-osmo-nano) know that it's not safe or comfortable to just wear your camera strapped around your neck all the time. It is also not very convenient to have to take your camera out of a [camera bag](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wotancraft-rider-v2) every time you want to take a picture. That's why Peter Dering invented the Capture Clip System, a secure and practical way to carry around your DSLR and be ready for a shot at any moment. This ingenious idea by Peter Dering uses the same mechanics that a [camera tripod](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pro-tripod) uses, except you can holster it to your belt, backpack or anywhere else you feel is convenient for you. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.4/10 - Popularity: 48% | Activity: 76% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 90% men, 10% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Photography](https://www.trendhunter.com/photography) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Convenient Camera Holsters:** The trend towards quick and easy camera access is disrupting traditional camera carrying methods. - **Camera Tripod Inspired Holster Design:** The trend of finding inspiration from different industries, like tripods, when designing new products is an opportunity for innovation. - **Photography Accessories:** The trend of creating innovative and practical accessories for photographers creates new markets for entrepreneurs to target. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Photography:** The Capture Clip System disrupts traditional camera carrying methods and provides an opportunity for photographers to have quick and easy access. - **Outdoor Gear:** The trend towards practical and convenient camera accessories creates an opportunity for businesses in outdoor gear, such as backpack and belt manufacturers. - **Tripod Manufacturing:** The trend of finding inspiration from different industries, such as tripods, when designing new products presents an opportunity for tripod manufacturers to expand into new markets. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Ergonomic Solo Shooting Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clips-camera.md) - [Innovative Camera Carriers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/innovative-camera-carrier.md) - [Compact Camera Hand Straps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/peak-design-micro-clutch.md) - [Dynamic Hybrid Camera Straps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/quimera-camera-strap.md) - [Harness-Style Camera Straps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pi-strap-sport.md) - [Convenient Camera Keychain Grips](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/camera-bug.md) - [Supplemental Photography Tripod Pockets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tripod-pocket.md) - [Smartphone Photographer Sling Bags](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shiftcam-workflow-sling.md) - [Travel Photographer Accessory Lineups](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rotastrap-and-rotalock.md)
