# Dog Carrying Backpacks The PetEgo Creates a Pet at Work Travel System By Tisah Tucknott | Published 2009-08-03 | Lifestyle Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/petego-pet-at-work-travel-system References: [gearfuse](http://www.gearfuse.com/pet-laptop-case-might-cook-your-dog-extra-crispy-style/) & [chipchick](http://www.chipchick.com/2009/08/dog_laptop_bag.html) If you don’t feel like carrying your pooch to class or work in a [little purse](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bark-jacobs) like [Paris Hilton](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/Community-focused-bakery-cafs) does, then you’ll probably be interested in this [backpack-type carrier](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crispin-pet-travel-crate) for your pet. PetEgo has solved this dilemma by creating a Pet at Work Travel System. The backpack is hybrid, as it is a laptop bag as well as a dog carrier. I’d watch out if your dog is a runner, as the jump down may be a little far (and painful). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.9/10 - Popularity: 40% | Activity: 70% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Pets](https://www.trendhunter.com/pets) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Pet Backpack Carriers:** The trend of pet backpack carriers allows people to easily transport their pets in a comfortable and stylish way. - **Multipurpose Pet Products:** Designing multipurpose pet products like a backpack that doubles as a laptop bag can solve multiple problems for owners and lead to more convenience for them and their pets. - **Pet-friendly Workplaces:** Creating pet-friendly workplaces encourages pet owners to bring their animals to work with them and enjoy more time with their companions. ### Who This Affects Most - **Pet Products:** The pet products industry can create more innovative designs that incorporate multipurpose functions and make traveling with pets easier. - **Workplace Furniture:** Workplace furniture companies can create desks and chairs that fit comfortably with pets to encourage pet owners to bring their animals to work with them. - **Laptop Bag Manufacturing:** Laptop bag manufacturers can consider creating designs that incorporate pet-carrying capabilities to appeal to pet owners. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Small Pet Carrier Enclosures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fenced-traveling-backpack.md) - [Stabilized Dog Hiking Backpacks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dog-hiking-backpack.md) - [Travel-Friendly Pet Carriers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bis-pet-collection.md) - [Portable Pet Shelter Backpacks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/travel-habitat.md) - [Stylish Multi-Functional Pet Carriers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/multifunctional-pet-carrier.md) - [Pet-Friendly Travel Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/petfriendly-carryon-suitcase.md) - [Stool-Equipped Pet Carriers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/guacal-pet-carrier.md) - [Dual-Purpose Pet Carriers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/burrow-pet-carrier.md) - [Motorcycle-Friendly Pet Carriers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moon-carrier.md)
