# Pet Perspective Photography Chris Keeney Uses a PetCam to Document a Different Perspective By Vasiliki Marapas | Published 2014-10-21 | Lifestyle Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/petcam References: [fastcodesign](http://www.fastcodesign.com/3036850/pet-week/how-your-pet-sees-the-world?partner=rss) & [chriskeeney](http://chriskeeney.com/) Chris Keeney's 'PetCam: The World Through the Lens of Our Four-Legged Friends' allows us to see from the perspective of our beloved pets. If you want to know where your pet is coming from, you have to walk a mile in their shoes (so to speak). Keeney uses the PetCam, a [digital camera](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/xplra-10) that can be [attached to a collar](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shazam-band), to give us some insight on how our [dogs, cats and teacup pigs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/teendow-xlym) experience their surroundings. The device takes pictures at pre-set intervals, which you can then access from a memory card stored inside. You can help give your pet a voice by documenting the world as they see it, or merely browse Keeney's book to get an idea. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.7/10 - Popularity: 50% | Activity: 22% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Pets](https://www.trendhunter.com/pets) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Pet Perspective Photography:** Capturing the world from the viewpoint of pets offers a new and unique visual experience. - **Wearable Pet Cameras:** The rising popularity of wearable cameras for pets presents opportunities for innovative pet tech companies to create more advanced and user-friendly devices. - **Understanding Animal Behavior:** Exploring photography through pets' perspective provides valuable insights into their behaviors and emotions, opening doors for research and development in animal psychology. ### Where This Applies - **Photography and Videography:** The field of photography can benefit from incorporating pet perspective photography techniques and equipment to expand creative possibilities for professional photographers. - **Pet Technology:** The pet technology industry can leverage wearable pet cameras to develop innovative products that improve pet-owner communication and enhance the overall pet ownership experience. - **Animal Psychology:** The study of animal behavior and psychology can utilize pet perspective photography as a tool to gain deeper insights into the lives and experiences of animals, leading to advancements in understanding and welfare. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Animal-Perspective Video Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/imaging-system-1.md) - [Canine-Friendly Action Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kivi-action-camera.md) - [AI Pet Photography](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pet-lens-ai.md) - [Temperature-Tracking Pet Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portable-pet-camera.md) - [Smart Indoor Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ezviz-c6-ai-smart-camera.md) - [Pet Community Hubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/petdiary.md) - [AI-Powered Pet Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/petlibro-scout-smart-camera.md) - [Crowdfunded Pet-Monitoring Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/siipet.md) - [AI-Powered Litter Box Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/litterlens.md)
