# Eco-Friendly Pet Waste Pails This Unit Ensures That Pet Owners Can Dispose of Waste Effectively By Mishal Omar | Published 2016-07-26 | Lifestyle Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pet-waste References: [kickstarter](https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1413086/doolitm-hides-smelly-pet-waste-odors?ref=commandpartners) Disposing of pet waste in the home can be both unsanitary and smelly, and the Dooli disposal unit aims to alleviate this issue. Designed by David Stravitz and Alison Diamond, this device works by removing the odor from bags with pet waste in them. The user inserts plastic or doggy bags with pet waste in them and closes the lid, allowing the device's lever mechanism to work. The mechanism seals the bag and removes the waste while also infusing an adjustable scent into it. The device is also environmentally friendly, as it has a [recyclable bag adapter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/complete-athome-refill-station) that can be used for over 50 bags. This deodorizing device is excellent for pet owners who are looking to rid their homes of unwanted smells in between garbage days. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.8/10 - Popularity: 32% | Activity: 45% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Pets](https://www.trendhunter.com/pets) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Eco-friendly Pet Waste Disposal:** Creating innovative solutions to effectively and environmentally dispose of pet waste in the home. - **Odor Elimination Technology:** Developing technologies that can remove unpleasant odors from pet waste while maintaining cleanliness and hygiene. - **Recyclable Bag Adapters:** Introducing recyclable bag adapters for pet waste disposal units to reduce plastic waste and promote sustainability. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Pet Waste Management:** Opportunities for companies to design and market innovative solutions for managing and disposing of pet waste effectively. - **Smart Home Appliances:** Incorporating odor elimination technologies into smart home appliances, offering convenience and improved hygiene for pet owners. - **Eco-friendly Packaging:** Creating recyclable bag adapters and sustainable packaging options for pet waste disposal units that align with environmentally conscious consumer preferences. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Durable Litter Boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/litter-genie-platinum-pail.md) - [Biobased Dog Poop Bags](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/biobased-poop-bags.md) - [Self-Cleaning Litter Boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/selfcleaning-litter-box1.md) - [Pet Odor Air Purifiers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pet-odor-air-purifier.md) - [Tropical-Scented Dog Bags](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/peach-lotus-scented-poop-bags.md) - [Air-Purifying Litter Boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hidden-plant-litter-box.md) - [Recycling Home-Use Compactor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clear-drop-1.md) - [Automated Odor-Trapping Litter Boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/petsnowy-snow.md) - [Odor-Busting Waste Composters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/waste-composter.md)
