The system works by utilizing a specialized pail for scooping waste into, which also acts as a storage spot for keeping up to a week or more of a dog's droppings stowed. This will only require pet owners to take a [single trip to the garbage](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vermicomposter) once per week to dispose of the waste to keep their outdoor environment as tidy as possible. The 'GoodWag' pet waste system utilizes plastic-free, plant-based bags that are both biodegradable and compostable to make it a more eco-conscious option for owners to use. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.3/10 - Popularity: 73% | Activity: 46% | Freshness: 9% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Pets](https://www.trendhunter.com/pets) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Eco-friendly Pet Waste Management:** There is an opportunity for innovative solutions that streamline pet waste cleanups while reducing environmental impact. - **Biodegradable and Compostable Bags:** The demand for eco-friendly alternatives in waste management presents a disruptive innovation opportunity for manufacturers producing biodegradable and compostable bags for pet waste disposal. - **Convenient Storage Solutions for Pet Waste:** Developing storage solutions that can hold a significant amount of pet waste, reducing the need for daily disposal, can provide a disruptive innovation opportunity for entrepreneurs in the pet waste management industry. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Pet Waste Management:** The pet waste management industry can benefit from innovative systems and products that simplify waste cleanups and promote environmental sustainability. - **Manufacturing of Biodegradable and Compostable Bags:** The manufacturing industry can explore opportunities to produce biodegradable and compostable bags specifically designed for pet waste disposal. - **Storage Solution Providers:** Companies specializing in storage solutions can tap into the pet waste management market by creating innovative products for storing and managing pet waste effectively. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Durable Litter Boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/litter-genie-platinum-pail.md) - [Low-Waste Pet Grooming Products](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/good-fur.md) - [Pet Gear Recycling Schemes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wag-n-wash.md) - [Biobased Dog Poop Bags](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/biobased-poop-bags.md) - [Bulk Dog Waste Bags](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/myecoworld.md) - [Green Pet Refresh Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/henry-wag.md) - [Upcycled Dog Foods](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/doggiebag.md) - [Kibble Refill Stations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kibble-refill.md) - [Pet Day Essentials](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pet-day-essentials.md)
