The table is not sitting on three or four legs like conventional tables, but instead features a wide base with a [tubular construction](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/twist-side-table) that winds up towards the tabletop section. The table thus appears as though it is going to fall over, but maintains a decidedly sturdy stance instead to make it great for everyday use. The 'Pet Table' is achieved with two separate components to give it a bit more visual intrigue with the base formed with [solid wood](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tidone) and the tabletop portion featuring a hollo design to ensure a firm center of gravity. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.9/10 - Popularity: 88% | Activity: 79% | Freshness: 11% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Quirky Furniture Design:** Opportunity to create furniture pieces with unconventional and creative shapes to add visual interest to interiors. - **Holistic Design Language:** Opportunity to incorporate organic and biomorphic design elements that create a natural and inviting living space. - **Tubular Constructions:** Opportunity to develop furniture pieces that feature unconventional shapes or curved forms for a contemporary look. ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture Design:** The 'Pet Table' highlights the opportunity to create unconventional or sculptural pieces that offer a new perspective on home furniture. - **Home Decor:** Opportunity for designers to incorporate playful design elements and quirky sculptures into home decor collections for added interest and charm. - **Interior Design:** The 'Pet Table' showcases the opportunity for interior designers to create living spaces that are more engaging and visually interesting through whimsical sculpture pieces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Curvaceous Animalistic Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bookpet-coffee-table.md) - [Fabric-Like Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tablecloth-side-table.md) - [Puzzling Geometric Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/linked-side-table.md) - [Cat Bed-Equipped Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/igloo-side-table.md) - [Perplexingly Angular Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tadashi-side-table.md) - [Aquatic Creature-Inspired Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nessie-side-table.md) - [Moveable Wave-Inspired Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/side-table-concept.md) - [Sculpted One-Piece Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pelican-coffee-table.md) - [Asymmetrical Storage Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crossbred-side-table.md)
