# Pet Detection Cameras The Fujifilm Finepix Z700 Waits for Your Pet's Smile Before Capturing By Jennifer Zalitack | Published 2010-03-15 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pet-friendly-camera References: [gizmodo](http://gizmodo.com/5492762/fujifilm-finepix-z700-point%20and%20shoot-is-the-first-to-offer-pet-detection) & [fujifilm](http://www.fujifilm.com) The [Fujifilm](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fujifilm-instax-pal) Finepix Z700 is the first to offer "pet detection” software. In other words, it waits until your pooch smiles to snap the picture! This [point and shoot camera](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/panasonic-zs99) is the first to boast such enhancing technology, and who wouldn’t love it? I myself am an addictive pet-picture-taker--hoarding my [Facebook](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/faxo) account with album upon album of pictures of my beloved pets. But beware--with any new technology that comes out right away, the Fujifilm Finepix 2700 does have a few kinks to be worked out. It works great with still-standing animals (a.k.a. well behaved pets) but has trouble tracking moving animals. But, like any little digital camera we have, action shots are tough to nail down unless done by a professional! ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.0/10 - Popularity: 9% | Activity: 44% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Photography](https://www.trendhunter.com/photography) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Pet Detection Technology:** Opportunity for camera and pet industries to partner and create a comprehensive line of pet detection cameras to suit different pet owner needs. - **Action Pet Photography:** Opportunity to develop and market cameras that effectively capture pets even in motion. - **Pet-centric Accessories:** Opportunity to design and produce pet accessories that can hold and secure pet detection cameras for more accurate pet photography. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Camera:** Camera manufacturers can tap into the growing pet market by integrating 'pet detection' technology into their products. - **Pet:** The pet industry can venture into the tech space by offering consumer electronic gadgets that cater to pet-specific needs such as the Pet Detection Camera. - **Photography:** Photographers who specialize in pet photography can broaden their target market by educating their clients on the availability of Pet Detection Cameras. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [AI-Powered Pet Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/petlibro-scout-smart-camera.md) - [Crowdfunded Pet-Monitoring Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/siipet.md) - [Treat-Launching Pet Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eufy-dog-camera-d605.md) - [Smart Indoor Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ezviz-c6-ai-smart-camera.md) - [AI Pet Photography](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pet-lens-ai.md) - [Temperature-Tracking Pet Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portable-pet-camera.md) - [Canine-Friendly Action Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kivi-action-camera.md) - [Palm-Sized Digital Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fujifilm-instax-pal.md) - [Artificial Intelligence-Powered Pet Feeders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ai-pet-feeder.md)
