One usually doesn't imagine the words adorable and science going together, but these [cute cupcakes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/candy-bar-inspired-cupcake) managed to pull off both. All of the elements are included and even have [color-coded frosting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cupcake-kit). One can probably guess that these cupcakes taste better than their elemental counterparts (don't eat Gallium; it's terrible). If Dmitri Mendeleev were alive today, he would be proud that his creation was being used for [sugar snacks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/caf-valley-cupcakes) instead of education (not). The Periodic Table of Cupcakes could stand to teach you a thing or two if you can hold off from stuffing your face. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.7/10 - Popularity: 30% | Activity: 14% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Food](https://www.trendhunter.com/food) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Educational Cupcakes:** Creating cupcakes that are not only delicious but also educational by incorporating the periodic table of elements. - **Color-coded Food:** Utilizing color-coded frosting to represent different elements on cupcakes, creating a visually appealing and educational experience. - **Adorable Science:** Combining science and cuteness to create innovative and enticing cupcakes that appeal to a wide range of people. ### Where This Applies - **Baking and Pastry:** Opportunity for bakers and pastry chefs to create unique and educational cupcakes that cater to both taste and learning. - **Education and Learning Materials:** Opportunity to develop science-themed educational materials, such as the Periodic Table of Cupcakes, that engage students in a fun and interactive way. - **Event Planning and Catering:** Opportunity for event planners and caterers to incorporate the Periodic Table of Cupcakes into their offerings, providing a unique and memorable experience for attendees. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Space-Themed Cupcake Mixes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/galaxy-cupcakes-mix.md) - [Collaboration Cupcake Desserts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chocolate-salted-pretzel-buttercream-cupcake.md) - [Periodic Table Keyboard Caps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/awekeys.md) - [Supersized Celebration Cupcakes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crumbs-colossal-cupcake.md) - [Elegant Cake Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flourless-dark-chocolate.md) - [Multisensorial Gourmet Cookies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nerds-sugar-crush-cookie.md) - [Cardboard-Resembling Illusion Cakes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cardboard-cake.md) - [Halloween-Inspired Cupcake Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/supernatural-kitchen.md) - [Snack-Themed Textbooks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fundamental-textbooks.md)
