Even though we were taught never to play with fire, this device lets us do so -- but in a restricted and safe way. The speaker runs on a Peltier-Seeback effect, which is essentially voltage power produced by contrasting temperatures. This concept makes for an [eco-friendly way](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eko-system) of playing your favorite tunes, because to create those alternating temperatures all you need is a candle -- a Pelty candle, that is. As a result, you can enjoy your music sans electricity in addition to enjoying a beautiful ambiance of [natural lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/calmtern). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.3/10 - Popularity: 72% | Activity: 79% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Eco-friendly Technology:** The Pelty Candle-Powered Speaker demonstrates a disruptive innovation opportunity in eco-friendly technology. - **Alternative Power Sources:** The use of a Pelty candle as a power source presents a disruptive innovation opportunity in alternative power sources. - **Enhanced User Experience:** The Flame-Powered Speaker offers a unique and engaging user experience that could inspire disruptive innovation in the audio industry. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Audio Technology:** The Flame-Powered Speaker has the potential to disrupt the audio technology industry by introducing a new type of speaker powered by candle flames. - **Home Décor:** The Pelty Candle-Powered Speaker combines technology with home décor, creating an opportunity for disruption in the home décor industry. - **Sustainable Energy:** The use of a Pelty candle in the speaker presents a disruptive innovation opportunity in the sustainable energy industry. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Posh Power-Free Smartphone Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/amplifying-speaker.md) - [Chinese Lantern-Like Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sirocco-speaker.md) - [Mood-Setting Speaker Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portable-bluetooth-speaker-with-light.md) - [Emergency Audio Speaker Hubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crankspeaker.md) - [WiFi-Charged Speaker Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/braun-faithfull-speaker.md) - [Ice-Inspired Ferrofluid Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/iceberg-crystal-speaker.md) - [Three-Dimensional Home Audio](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-speaker.md) - [Convenient Personal Fireplaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/personal-fireplace1.md) - [Stylish Low-Tech Sound Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/frame-sound.md)
