Maybe this was the driving force behind Joa Herrenknecht’s “Pee-Tree,” a ceramic, tree-shaped public urinal that offers men a hygienic - and quick! - way to relieve themselves. A urinal that looks like an abstract form of a tree, the Pee-Tree is a utilitarian item with artistic elements. It’s also finished in bright white ceramic for easy spotting from far distances when the need to go strikes. An underground sewage canal connected to the urinal gives the pee a place to go after its flushed, eliminating odor and ensuring streets stay clean. Now where’s the women’s version? ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.6/10 - Popularity: 61% | Activity: 70% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 90% men, 10% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Public Urination Solutions:** Exploring innovative ways to address the need for public urination facilities while considering hygiene and aesthetics. - **Artistic Utilitarian Designs:** Combining functionality and artistic elements to create unique and visually appealing everyday objects. - **Hygienic Sanitary Solutions:** Developing products that prioritize cleanliness and sanitation in public spaces and facilities. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Urban Design and Infrastructure:** Opportunity for architects and urban planners to incorporate creative solutions for public restroom facilities and urban sanitation systems. - **Ceramic Manufacturing:** Utilizing ceramics as a medium for creating functional and visually appealing everyday objects, such as unique urinal designs. - **Sanitation Technology:** Investigating innovative technologies and systems for waste management and odor control in public spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Anti-Splashing Bathroom Fixtures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modern-urinal-design.md) - [Illuminated Public Artful Toilets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hiroo-east-park.md) - [Air-Purifying Tree Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/treeone.md) - [Enclosed Japanese Park Toilets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/toiletowa.md) - [Inflatable Portable Toilets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/airpot.md) - [Amorphous Public Restrooms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/amoeba-public-restroom.md) - [Sci-Fi-Themed Metallic Potty Pods](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-portal.md) - [Urinary Health Trackers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/peetracker.md) - [Light-Filled Public Restrooms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vivid-toilet-interior.md)
