The pedal-powered police car, which is relatively useless and looks more like something you'd push your baby in than a scare tactic against future criminals. Nonetheless, the UK always tends to have weird and eccentric versions of whatever is popular in the US, and this pedal-powered police car is no exception. I think they're trying to be eco-friendly and set a good example, but how is it even possible to catch crooks and criminals by pedaling a Flintstones-esque car? It's completely hilarious--and something only the British would do. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.1/10 - Popularity: 42% | Activity: 44% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Autos](https://www.trendhunter.com/autos) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Pedal-powered Vehicles:** Opportunity for innovative designs of pedal-powered vehicles beyond bicycles. - **Eco-friendly Transportation:** Potential for developing environmentally friendly transportation solutions for law enforcement and security agencies. - **Eccentric Law Enforcement Gadgets:** Market for quirky and unusual gadgets targeted towards law enforcement agencies looking for unique branding and public engagement. ### Who This Affects Most - **Automotive:** Disruption opportunity: Develop pedal-assist technology for cars to combine human power with electric motors for sustainable transportation. - **Law Enforcement:** Disruption opportunity: Invent innovative, eco-friendly enforcement tools that are both effective and sustainable, reducing carbon emissions and increasing community engagement. - **Security:** Disruption opportunity: Create unconventional security systems and devices that cater to the needs of quirky organizations, delivering both functionality and entertainment value. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Oddball Penny-Farthing Bikes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pennyfarthing-bike.md) - [Sleek Electricity-Storing Velomobiles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/electricity-storing-velomobile.md) - [Child-Centric Electric Cars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kids-cars.md) - [Urban Pursuit Motorcycles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cfmoto-300-gt.md) - [Enclosed Electric Tricycles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/carver-electric-city-car.md) - [Lightweight Four-Wheeled Bikes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/activcycle.md) - [Pedal-Assist Electric Quadricycles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pedalassist-electric-quadricycles.md) - [Single-Seater Bicycle Automobiles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/la-bagnole-electric-utv.md) - [Two-in-One Scooter Bikes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/popup-scooter.md)
