It has a minimal look with a footstool that joins, creating a set that boasts a timeless appeal in terms of design and standard. It is made with inspiration from Toogood's childhood living in rural settings and landscapes were a common view. The scale of the chair has a dramatic look with a visual indicator of its weight with a low seat and heavy build, which means that it is meant to stay in one place. Toogood notes, “It is for [rest, reading, contemplation](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chapters-furniture), solitary pursuits more than social gathering." The chair is made from [Finnish pine](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/midcentury-finnish-design) and goes through progressive heat treatment by Vaarnii for durability over time.
